Content
We will continue studying the basics of the Finnish language. We will speak, listen, read, and write in Finnish. We will also get to know Finnish society and culture, as well as the history of Finland.
The program includes 25 lessons per week. You’ll spend an additional 2–3 hours a day studying independently.
The goal is to reach the language levels A1.3–A2.1.
For whom?
The course is for students who already know some basic Finnish. You do not need to speak Finnish fluently yet.
You can also apply if you are a customer of the Employment Services (TE-palvelut) or you have an integration plan.
Haapavesi Folk High School is located in Haapavesi, North Ostrobothnia.
You can also eat meals and stay in our campus dorm!
Location
Haapavesi is a folk high school situated in Haapavesi, Northern Ostrobothnia. This small town is beautiful and peaceful, with nature close by and excellent opportunities for skiing and other outdoor activities. Address: Vanhatie 45, 86600 HAAPAVESI
Tuition and Accommodation
Meals and accommodation in single or double rooms are available on the campus of Haapavesi Folk High School.
Tuition costs 80 € per week. A study voucher subsidy may reduce the course fee. For students who study Finnish as part of their integration plan, the course is free of charge.
Tuition: €80 / week (study voucher subsidy may reduce the price)
Lunch: €25 / week (Served at the dining hall, Wiivinsali)
Accommodation: €50 / week at the dormitory
Tuition and full board (accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner): €160 / week
Residents must adhere to specific dormitory rules, follow a guide and a housing agreement.
The course will go ahead with a minimum of 10 participants.
